Frequently asked questions
- How often does HSBC Kinetic sync to Actual Budget?
- Synci polls HSBC Kinetic for new data every 30 to 360 minutes, depending on your plan. Some banks may not support high-frequency sync (30 min). When new transactions or balance changes are found, they are transferred to Actual Budget within seconds.
- Does HSBC Kinetic support pending transactions?
- Yes — HSBC Kinetic exposes pending transactions, and Synci syncs them to Actual Budget. When the bank eventually books them, Synci automatically updates the same transactions in Actual Budget rather than creating duplicates.
- Are HSBC Kinetic credit card accounts supported?
- HSBC Kinetic may not expose credit card accounts through PSD2. If yours does, you'll see them listed when you connect.
- Is my HSBC Kinetic login shared with Synci?
- No. Synci connects to HSBC Kinetic through regulated PSD2 APIs, which means authentication happens on HSBC Kinetic's own login flow. Your bank login credentials are never shared with or stored by Synci.
- Which provider does Synci use to connect to HSBC Kinetic?
