Does Actual Budget work with European banks?
Actual Budget ships with bank sync built in, but it needs a data provider on the other end: SimpleFIN covers the US and Canada, and Actual's GoCardless option stopped accepting new accounts in July 2025. Actual's remaining built-in route for Europe means creating and managing your own account with a data provider; Synci works through Actual's built-in SimpleFIN bank sync instead: link your bank once, paste a setup token, done.
You link your bank to Synci once through a regulated open-banking login, paste your Synci setup token into Actual's SimpleFIN settings, and run Bank Sync whenever you want fresh transactions and balances. It works with any Actual server, hosted or self-hosted, including PikaPods.
