Your bank data. A clearer path to using it.
Synci is a financial data layer for your apps and AI assistants. It connects supported accounts through upstream providers, then adds connection management, rules, and destinations. These guides explain European open banking and help you choose the right route for your data.

Bank connectivity is only the first part
A direct API makes sense if you want to build the application around bank connectivity. A managed product makes sense if you want to use the data in tools that already exist. Synci uses providers including GoCardless; it does not claim to replace their bank networks.
| Layer | Its job |
|---|---|
| Your bank and its data provider | Authorize the connection and supply available account data |
| Synci | Manage connections, normalize data, apply rules, and control destination access |
| Your app or AI assistant | Import or read the shared data and turn it into a budget, report, or answer |
Understand the providers

Compare the routes
The comparisons explain setup, coverage checks, and when direct provider access is the better fit. They distinguish GoCardless Bank Account Data from GoCardless’s payment products and identify the upstream relationship with Synci.
Start with your actual bank
A country appearing on a provider’s map does not guarantee every bank or account type is supported. Synci’s country and institution pages use its current coverage data, including available history, card support, and consent duration.
Questions and answers
- Is Synci a budgeting app or an open-banking provider?
- Synci is a managed financial-data service. It connects accounts using upstream providers and makes the data available to budgeting apps, AI assistants, spreadsheets, and custom software. The budget or assistant remains a separate application.
- Can one bank connection serve several destinations?
- Yes. You can use a supported Synci connection with multiple destinations and choose which accounts each destination can access.
