How do you connect ChatGPT to your bank account?
ChatGPT has no way to log in to your bank, and a statement you paste into a conversation is out of date the moment you send it. Synci is the connector in between. You link your bank once through its own regulated open-banking login, then install Synci from ChatGPT's directory. ChatGPT cannot
- Move money, make payments, or place trades
- Change anything at all: the server is read-only and has no write operations
- See accounts you did not share, or reach your bank directly
- See your bank login, which never leaves your bank's own flow
- See sensitive identifiers: IBAN, BBAN, card numbers, phone numbers and owner names are omitted

Connect your bank to Synci through its own open-banking login, choose which accounts to share, then search for Synci in ChatGPT's directory and click Install. Sign in with your Synci account and ChatGPT can read those accounts. Because Synci is already listed, you do not need developer mode or a server URL.
Only the accounts you explicitly share, and only to read them. ChatGPT can list those accounts and read balances, transactions and holdings. It cannot move money, place trades, or change anything, and it never sees your bank login or your IBAN and card numbers.
ChatGPT reads your latest synced data at the moment you ask. Synci refreshes from your bank every 30 to 360 minutes depending on your plan, so answers reflect recent activity rather than a file you uploaded weeks ago. Balances can lag transactions, so ask for the balance timestamp if it matters.
On Basic, 60 days. On Pro, up to 2 years, where your bank provides it: some PSD2 banks only hand over about 90 days of history, others up to 24 months. This is what lets ChatGPT compare a month against the same month last year.
No, and that is the point. Pasting a CSV or PDF means the numbers are frozen at export time and you re-do the work every month. With Synci connected, ChatGPT reads the current data itself.
Remove Synci in ChatGPT, or revoke its access from your Synci account, which cuts it off immediately. You can also narrow what it sees at any time by unsharing individual accounts rather than disconnecting entirely.
