Common questions
Synci polls Monese for new data every 6 hours by default, and as often as every hour on a plan that allows it. Many banks enforce their own daily cap on automated requests, so accounts at those banks are moved to a slower schedule automatically. When new transactions or balance changes are found, they are transferred to YNAB within seconds.
Yes — Monese exposes pending transactions, and Synci syncs them to YNAB. When the bank eventually books them, Synci automatically updates the same transactions in YNAB rather than creating duplicates.
When you first connect Monese, Synci can import up to 730 days of transaction history into YNAB. From that point on, new transactions and balance changes are synced continuously.
Monese may not expose credit card accounts through PSD2. If yours does, you'll see them listed when you connect.
No. Synci connects to Monese through regulated PSD2 APIs, which means authentication happens on Monese's own login flow. Your bank login credentials are never shared with or stored by Synci.
Synci currently connects to Monese through GoCardless, a regulated PSD2 data provider. Providers handle the technical connection to the bank — your login credentials stay between you and Monese.
