Tink and European account aggregation

Tink provides financial-data infrastructure for applications and businesses. Its account aggregation connects bank information to products built on top of its API. Synci focuses on managing your connections and making your data usable in supported apps and AI assistants.

What is Tink’s product model?

Tink describes account aggregation as the foundation for products including transactions, account checks, and money management. Its offering is oriented around a business integrating financial data into its own service, rather than an individual choosing a budgeting destination.

European coverage needs a product-level check

Tink publishes European aggregation coverage. For an implementation, verify the specific country, institution, and data product with Tink. A network-level coverage figure alone cannot confirm that your customer’s account exposes the balances or transaction history your feature needs.

Questions to resolve before building

Treat these as integration requirements to confirm with the provider. We do not assume a universal price, approval process, or personal-project tier.

  • Which product gives you the account and transaction fields your application needs?
  • What access, commercial onboarding, and production approval apply to your use case?
  • How will your application handle consent, return URLs, data storage, and errors?
  • What happens when an account needs renewed authorization or a bank cannot refresh?

When Tink is a better choice

Tink is worth evaluating when you are building a financial product around its aggregation or related products and want that provider relationship directly. Existing Tink customers should evaluate their current integration before adding another data layer.

Synci is a different fit: you want to manage your own bank connections, clean up transactions with rules, and connect them to supported destinations without writing those integrations yourself. Synci also has an API for custom applications. This overview does not claim that Tink is a Synci upstream provider.

Questions and answers

Is Tink a budgeting app?
Tink’s account aggregation is infrastructure that other applications integrate. To use your own accounts in a budget, choose an app and verify which data providers it supports.
Does Tink coverage prove the same bank works in Synci?
No. Each service has its own coverage. Use Synci’s live bank directory to check Synci support and Tink’s own information to check a Tink integration.
