Connect Nordea Personal Norway to Claude
Synci connects Nordea Personal and gives Claude read-only access to the accounts you select. Ask about balances and transactions already synced to Synci, without sharing your bank login or allowing the assistant to move money.

Before connecting Nordea Personal Norway
Nordea operates in several markets. This connection is the Norwegian personal-banking entry, so a Swedish, Finnish, or business account needs its own matching connection. Sharing this entry does not automatically share other Nordea accounts.

Set up Nordea Personal Norway with Claude
Connect Nordea Personal Norway in Synci
Select the correct institution and complete Nordea Personal’s bank authorization flow. Return to Synci and check which accounts and transactions are available.
Choose what Claude sees
Share the accounts you want Claude to reason about. The rest stay invisible.
Add the connector
In Claude's settings, add a custom connector and paste https://api.synci.io/mcp, then sign in to Synci and approve access.
Ask a question with a clear scope
Compare recurring expenses in the Nordea Norway accounts I shared. Identify the underlying transactions and avoid combining amounts in different currencies.
What Claude can read
The permitted Nordea Personal accounts, their synced balances, and available transactions in a requested date range. It cannot initiate payments, change an account, or see accounts outside your grant. Bank-data access does not imply that the bank exposes its entire product portfolio.
Synci omits sensitive account identifiers from assistant-facing responses. You can revoke assistant access in Synci. The assistant service receives the financial records it reads, so review the accounts you share.
Refresh behavior and history limits
Claude reads data already synced to Synci. Your Synci plan, connection settings, and Nordea Personal’s own request limits determine how fresh it is; asking another question does not force a live bank refresh.
Use the initial-history limit above to choose meaningful analysis periods. An assistant cannot recover history the bank has not supplied. Ask it to show the timestamps, date range, and individual transactions behind a total.
Questions and answers
- Can Claude combine all of my Nordea accounts across countries?
- Nordea operates in several markets. This connection is the Norwegian personal-banking entry, so a Swedish, Finnish, or business account needs its own matching connection. Sharing this entry does not automatically share other Nordea accounts.
- Is my Nordea Personal login shared with Claude?
- No. Complete the bank authorization outside the chat, then authorize the assistant through Synci. Claude reads the permitted data from Synci and does not receive your bank login.
- Can Claude make payments from these accounts?
- No. Synci’s MCP access is read-only and has no payment or account-changing operations.
- What happens when the bank connection expires?
- Renew the bank authorization in Synci when requested. Until a connection refreshes successfully, the assistant may only have older data available. Check connection status and balance timestamps.
