Use European bank data with your AI assistant
Synci connects supported European banks and gives AI assistants read-only access to the accounts you select through MCP. Your assistant can read synced balances and transactions to answer questions; it cannot move money or change your bank accounts.

There are two connections to authorize
First, authorize your bank connection in Synci through the bank’s login flow. Then authorize the assistant to read selected accounts from Synci. The assistant gets access to the data you grant, not your bank login.

Questions that work well with bank data
Be explicit about the accounts, date range, and treatment of pending transactions. A useful answer should be traceable to the records retrieved, especially when you are comparing periods or combining several accounts.
- Which recurring payments appeared in my accounts this month?
- Compare grocery spending across the last two complete months, separating currencies.
- Show transfers between my own accounts separately from purchases.
- List the transactions behind your spending total so I can check it.
What is shared, and what is not
Synci’s MCP tools expose account summaries, balances, transactions, and holdings where supported and authorized. Sensitive identifiers such as account numbers and IBANs are stripped from assistant-facing data. You control which accounts the assistant may read and can revoke access in Synci.
Read-only describes the actions the connector can perform. The financial information retrieved still becomes available to the assistant service, so choose the accounts and service settings that fit how you want that data used.
An assistant reads a synced snapshot
Asking a question does not make the bank produce a new transaction. Synci’s bank refresh schedule, the bank’s own limits, and the data already imported determine what the assistant can read. Ask for the balance timestamp or covered date range when freshness matters.
Initial history also depends on the institution. Missing older transactions cannot be recovered by asking the assistant a different way. Check the bank’s history limit and your Synci plan before attempting year-over-year analysis.
